Whether you work out on a regular basis or you talked to people who work out, you should have heard of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) classes. As the name suggests, high intensity interval training classes involve short bursts of high intensity exercises with short periods of rest in between. One classic example of a HIIT class includes sprinting up a flight of stairs accompanied by a walk back down afterward. This process would repeat itself for several cycles over a time duration, normally 30 minutes.
The concept is to push yourself to the maximum during every set so that your heart rate can be pushed to its highest. Several studies have revealed that pushing yourself to your limit is important when it comes to enhancing your endurance, increase metabolism rate, and reducing body fat and these contributed to why HIIT is so well-received by fitness enthusiasts globally.
